It’s been just a month or two since we finally went all digital. Still using Technics 1200s with a vinyl interface but now connected to a Macbook running Serato — the potential seems to have blown through the roof. The colour coded waveform is perhaps the biggest advancement in DJing since the 1200s. What a difference, and what a great visual representation of the music.

dj Caddyshack’s tracklist is super secret.

Well, the show goes on even if the website doesn’t get updated as often. Trancendance has been on the air now for 9 years! Before that, on a sunny February afternoon back in 1999 (if I remember correctly) there was a little ol’ gathering in Pemberton at the base of Mount Currie. This is the home of the Lil’wat Nation, and it was there that we entered into the Spirit Circle for an epic night of celebration.

There is no question in my mind that anyone who was there will remember being so — you all know who you are.

This past Sunday Caddyshack and I had an exceptionally good show and I couldn’t help but wonder if the Spirit Circle had a little something to do with that.

I don’t know what Caddyshack played

Well, it’s definitely better than most of the shows in the past 6 months. I’ve had some good parts of shows but there always seems to be some considerable screw-up that keeps me from posting the mix in the sidebar as a featured podcast.

The first mix is likely the shakiest and as the show goes on it just gets better and better until the last 45 minutes are really solid.

The first half is more deep pulsing layered trance that slowly builds. The second half is a little harder and a little more epic with some big ups and downs and several trance anthem remixes from over the years.
